Michael Miller, one of our board members, passed away on September, 2014.  We were lucky to have had his support.  He placed his trust in us about 17 years ago when the Founder, Gloria Carr, out of the blue, walked in to his office at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.  She told him about a studio she was creating on the Greek island of Skopelos and he immediately signed on, sight unseen.  The next year he and his wonderful wife and SkopArt board member, Kathleen King traveled to the island to see the studio.  He served on the board from 1999 up until his untimely death in September.   Michael was humorous, kind and supportive.  He was an amazing artist and professor.  A man we will never forget.

Michael Miller 1938-2014

Our Board of Directors is made up of artists, business people and professors that dedicate their time and money to support the Foundation.  SkopArt would not be able to function without their hard work and dedication. A few of our Board members have been with us since the beginning and have given an invaluable contribution to our organization.  We appreciate everything the Board does and feel lucky to be affiliated with such a talented group of people.
